Our Pillars
Discover what makes Oakmoor AP a unique and impactful educational provider.
We focus on real-life experiences and relationship building to prepare students for adulthood.

Practical skills
Our bespoke workshop environment offers students a hands-on introduction to the construction trades. Delivering AQA Unit Award Schemes, we bridge the gap between disengagement and employability. By focusing on tangible projects, students develop manual dexterity, spatial awareness, and a professional work ethic that translates directly to post-16 apprenticeships.

Core intervention
We provide targeted, low-stakes academic support focusing on Functional Skills English and Maths. Recognizing that many of our learners have significant gaps in their formal education, our curriculum is delivered through integrated, practical contexts. This approach reduces "classroom anxiety" and ensures every student works toward recognised qualifications at a pace suited to their individual starting point.

Trauma-informed
At the heart of Oakmoor AP is a commitment to relational safety. Led by trained practitioners, our provision is specifically designed for learners with complex SEMH needs. We utilise trauma-informed strategies to regulate the nervous system, build emotional resilience, and foster a sense of belonging, ensuring that every young person feels safe enough to learn and succeed.
